LANDSCAPES

In my series of landscape images, I respond to relationships between human and nature by capturing parks. Specifically, controlled and preserved Roundhay and Potternewton Park and the people that visit them. I purposefully use the rule of thirds to structure how I wanted them to look visually. All my images contain trees which help us humans to breathe. That relationship can sometimes go unnoticed. In some images there are people captured from a distance in the middle of the image whereas other images are consisting of a manmade structure or parts of nature preserved by man. There are pictures of people interacting with the park however they view it. For example, playing with and walking dogs or strolling through the park for relaxation. The aesthetic I am trying to offer is that the relationship between nature and humans is important. To coexist together in this modern world humans must work alongside nature. This can be accomplished by preserving more natural parks and not affecting nature with social issues such as deforestation.​
